Electrical Apprenticeship Program
IEC offers a federally recognized electrical apprenticeship program in over 50 chapters across the United States. The IEC apprenticeship program consists of a minimum of 576 hours of classroom instruction and a minimum of 8,000 (documented) on the job training hours (OJT’s) with an electrical contracting company.
Apprentices learn skills to become qualified journeyman electricians while earning great wages with excellent employee benefits.
Elegibility & Application
Interested candidates must possess a High School Diploma, GED or have two thousand verified hours in the electrical trade and have reliable transportation
Apprentices must be 18 years of age.
All students must have a valid email address, internet access and a computer or smart phone
US Certified Apprenticeship Program
The US Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship (OA) ceritifies IEC’s Electrical Apprenticeship Program
To become a nationally recognized Electrician the OA required two components for certification: 800 hours, or 4 years of on the job training an 576 hours of classroom related trainging
IEC-OKC Stadd helps students gain employment with an IEC Contractor to collect On the Job Training hours.
Once you become as Electrician there are other career opportunities such as Estimator, Foreman, or Project Manager.
